Team Fortress 2 Tournament
Breaking from past LAN tradition, we will be running a Team Fortress 2 Tournament. Team Fortress 2 has become a major staple played at LAN parties and, as a result, we will be hosting a tournament and a dedicated "pub" server. Below is some information regarding this tournament:
- Format is team based
- size of teams determined by number of entrants (no smaller than 3v3 and no larger than 6v6)
- Teams will be determined by Ryan Wersal who is running the server (in other words, entrants are individuals, not entire teams)
- To enter, email Ryan Wersal with a link to your steam community page (should look like http://steamcommunity.com/id/yavinmaya)
If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to
email Ryan Wersal at
rjwersal@pluto.dsu.edu. Be sure to tell all your friends about the Team Fortress 2 Tournament, but more importantly, about the LAN itself!
What to Bring
You should plan on providing the items listed below:
- A computer (your tablet works for most games, but if you have a gaming computer, that is the best choice)
- Power strip (especially if you are using a desktop so you can plug in your monitor and tower)
- 10 - 15 ft Network Cable
- Headphones (highly recommended)
- Your game collection!
Although the club is no longer lending cables out for use at the LAN, we still have a small stock of 15 ft cables available for sale at $5.00.
